Doctor Who: Darkness on the Edge of Town

It's 1798 and the small town of Leaguesford, quietly nestled in the countryside of southern England, is about to disappear.

Lord Marwood is concerned for his youngest son, Sebastian. The young man has recently returned from his travels abroad and is scarcely the son his father remembers.

The Doctor arrives, eager to find the cause of the town's disappearance, but soon finds himself embroiled in local events. While Turlough makes a friend in Alexander, the eldest son of Lord Marwood, Tegan decides to let her investigative nature come to the fore. But sinister forces are building within the quiet town and soon, all three of the TARDIS crew find themselves in a battle for their lives... and perhaps their souls.

What is the darkness that is descending upon Leaguesford and how does it connect to a race of ancient beings who once held sway over the Earth long before the advent of man?
