Delighted about this news ,
One of my favourite stories, and a sign that they're seemingly taking this animation lark seriously.
HOORRAAYYYY!!!!
Well that's taken care of the Cybermen!
Clever! Clever! Clever!
It's my birthday present isn't it my precious...sorry, went all Gollum for a bit. :p
I bloody love this story. :flash
I've always been rather fond of this one, ever since reading the Target as a kid. So it's well worth raising a glass to celebrate the fact that it's being 'restored' in this way - time for another cocktail, Polly.
I'll get me coat.
I'm with Andrew on this. "Doctor Who and The Cybermen" was the first Who book I read, so it's special to me too :-)
Brilliant news! Unfortunately every episode they've animated so far has been a bit of a duff 'un, but this is the first half decent story they've tackled. I only hope they do "The Crusade" and then tackle a story we actually want back - a real left-field choice would be nice, something like "The Myth Makers" or "The Macra Terror". They've done two episodes to a release, four can't be that much of a stretch.
Si.
It seems very odd not to take the opportunity to put Underwater Menace 3 on the release of The Moonbase.... which makes me think it must surely now be more likely than not, that we'll get a release of Underwater Menace in the same vein as The Moonbase, with two animated episodes. (Here's hoping!)
So who's going to be the first to mention The Web Of Fear then?;)
You perhaps?:p
Blow me, what a coincidence!:p

They're all not-quite-right in subtle ways! :)
Nice to seee Hartnell back for this one, isn't it?
Peter Duncan as Jamie? Interesting.
:-D @ Si & Dave.
There's no way this is coming out next month, as per the release schedule. Things have been tweeted like "just got the face designs in for this" (see above) which suggests it's way off.
Perhaps, as rumoured, it's being kept in its release slot as a placeholder for "Enemy of the World"?
Si.
DWM said it was now due early next year.
Hmm... how early I wonder? Before June?
