RIP Sir John Hurt

Sad news this morning. We've lost the marvellous John Hurt, who, of course played the War Doctor in the 50th anniversary special.

He had a tremendous career spanning decades, taking in roles in I, Claudius, 1984, Alien and The Storyteller among many, many others. He'll be missed.

A sad loss, if not unexpected. Cancer claims another. :(

The first roles I remember him in are the Elephant Man, 10 Rillington Place & Alien.

A great loss of a great actor. :(
