Should Mankind Live In Peace With The Silurians?

There's a dillemma at the end of Doctor Who and The Silurians, a question for all humanity. Could we share this planet with a race of intelligent reptiles? Remembering that these aren't the slinky, sexy reptiles of the new series, could we give up our resources and space to allow Homo Reptilia to regain a foothold in our world?

If this were real, what do you think? Should humanity do it, or should we protect ourselves? They've shown that they are agressive, but was that only because we were agressive first?

Would you want a Silurian family moving in next door to you, with their sulphurous smell, weird pets and the ability to reduce you to a state of primal fear?

Well it's quite clear that the Silurian race could live in the areas of the world we don't inhabit, like all the desserts and arctic regions and shit. Furthermore, they're bound to have skills that we need and have lost or never had, like basket weaving or the ability to create a virus that turns you blotchy and makes you spin round violently at train stations.

So I say let them have the bits of the world we don't want and live in peaceful harmony. It would be an alliance based on solid grounding, given they passionately hate humanity and liken us to stupid apes, and one not at all likely to end in nuclear war that destroys the Earth.

Maybe they can join our society. There could be Silurian entertainers and comedians, like that old cross-dressing Silurian, Eddie Lizard.

It's like when they discovered Annie Walker had secretely left the Rovers Return to Betty in 1984 and that meant her son owned it instead of the person who had legally bought it three owners on. It's that situation all over again.

Any race that thinks the moon means the world is going to end deserves to be wiped out, together with fundamental Christians. Actually wouldn't that be a fun episode - they wipe out creationists who refuse to believe they were there first!

There's only one question that you should be asking yourself: how exciting would it be to walk down the street and have full-size lizard people mingling with humans?

The answer therefore is HELL YES.
