I love the Five Doctors incidental music.
I listened to a bit of The Worlds Of Doctor Who last night, for the first time in ages. Not too bad.
I finished Doctor Who & the Daleks this morning as read by William Russell.
Next up Doctor Who & the Zarbi. Should help me sleep. ;)
I listened to The Dinosaur Invasion read by Martin Jarvis. It was quite superb. His impressions of the cast are spot on!
Si xx
I'm imagining his Pertwee now! The man's a genius. :)
I did episode one of Tom Baker's Fury From The Deep in the bath earlier. :flash
I do hope not too much foam was produced!
Actually that remark could be interpreted in more than one way, couldn't it? :lol
Knowing you Ant, very likely. :p
Honestly, I didn't realise when I first typed it! it was only as I was going to press the 'post' button that I realised the connotations - honest Guv! :D
Phew - I think I just got away with that one!
We all know you meant bubble bath! And if you believe that...:p
I really can't "get into" listening to Doctor Who. I have bought a few Audios only and I find that they just don't grab my attention. The disc finishes I and still don't know what the story was about. So I don't listen anymore.
I finished the Zarbi & it was quite enjoyable.
Last night I followed that with Doctor Who & the Last Crusade staring Indiana Jones. :p
Indiana was the name of the dog!
Another bath, another episode of Fury On The Cheap. :flash
Listened to Cuddlesome from the new DWM CD last night. Wasn't marvellous, but it could've been much worse. I didn't recognise David Troughton!
I finished Crusade last night & tonight it's The Cave Monsters. Fandabidozi!
I've been having a major flat cleaning session today whilst listening to the Target audiobook of 'Dr Who & the Doomsday Weapon'. At times Geoffrey Beevers sounds a bit like Brian Wilde. (Mr.Barrowclough from 'Porridge')

:-D
"Now then, Fletcher, er, would you mind just stepping over here and touching this grandfather clock. Nothing serious, it's just so that Mr. MacKay can possess your body..."
:lol
I was trying to think of something funny to say like that, but failed. :D
So was I. And so did I.:p
:lol Silly Stuart!
Whilst listening to 'Doctor Who & the Cave Monsters' I was thinking along these lines; "Why is it that the 'Web Planet' & 'The Crusade' Target novels go on for 6 & 4 episodes in their original guise & yet take 5 Cd's to be read & then there is 'The Silurians' with 7 episodes & yet the Target novel is on 4 Cd's."
Methinks that a lot of padding was axed when the novel was written of the latter. :p
Did episode 1 of The Tenth Planet last night. Nice american accents! :flash :-D
I like the Italian bloke, Tito Jackson:
"Mamma Mia! It's-a Cyba-man! What-a mistake-a to make-a!"
:-D
We've been listening to Tom Baker read The Brain of Morbius while we decorate, which was great fun. Now we've got William Russell reading... And the Daleks. It's great!
Si xx
Yes, that is a good one.
I've been listening to Geoffrey Beevers read The Doomsday Weapon. Much better than Caroline John was with the Cave Monsters. In fact it's very entertaining. Almost makes we want to watch Colony in Space. :hide
I've been listening to "Doctor Who and The Dinosaur Invasion".
I watched 9 minutes from a Noel Edmond "Gotcha" on Mr Pertwee back in 1994 - It's on youtube and was good fun to see - I'd recommend it to all Pert enthusiasts :D
Sorry if I'm not on the right thread - whatever! :p
I wonder how it got there. :p And yes, you're on totally the wrong thread. :lol
I've been listening to The Myth Makers. I'm going to say something shocking - it's not as bad as I always used to say. It's not great, but it's not bad. Very little happens really, they arrive, Vicki meets a bloke, the Doctor invents the Trojan Horse, cue the obvious, Vicki stays on, the end. The comedy isn't as hilarious as some say ("You can't say woe to the horse" indeed) either. They could probably do it much better now.
It's interesting that Katarina thinks she's going to her death - did the writers know her fate? I'd assume so...
The first scene Adrienne Hill filmed was her death scene, so I'd guess so. :)Quote:

She filmed her death scene for DMP #4 before the recording of the Myth Makers #4? I never knew that :)
Do you think her agent rang her up and said, "Good news - bad news. I've got you a gig as a companion on Doctor Who, but your first day's filming is your death scene."
Thanks to Pip's recommendation on the Bargains thread, I recently picked up The Reign of Terror (audio) for £2.99. It's a story I'm only passingly familiar with, one which I've only ever seen the existing episodes of once (and that was 15+ years ago), and so it's almost 'as new' to an extent. I'm two episodes in so far, and rather enjoying it.
Last night, I went to be listening to Circular Time, and woke up listening to The Wishing Beast, damn you iPod!!!!!!!!
I managed 10 minutes of The Power of the Daleks #1 before bedtime.
Whilst travelling to & from my Mum & Dad's last week. i listened to 'The Dinosaur Invasion' Target Audiobook. Good fun it was too, & quite nostalgic. :flash You forget all the little extra bits character background that you get in the novelizations. Right down to the Scottish football fan/drunkard who gets killed right near the beginning. :D
It's good isn't it? I loved Martin Jarvis's impressions of the regulars. They all seemed pretty spot on to me. It's my favourite out of the ones I've heard.
Si xx
Ralph'll love that. :lolQuote:

I listened to part 4 of The Reign of Terror last night. I may have heard Ronald Pickup as the Physician.
