Happy 100th Birthday to Earl Cameron!

Happy Birthday to actor Earl Cameron, who played theastronaut Williams in The Tenth Planet, who has reached the momentous age of100!

4 days ago he was invited to unveil a plaque at Coventry Theatre commemorating the fact thatin 1828 the then 20 year-old Ira Aldridge became Manager of that theatre makingher the first black person to run a British theatre (her daughter was voicecoach to Cameron). Apparently, Earl performed Othello's final speech at thisevent – from memory! :clap

Happy birthday Earl. The photo shows him aged 92, collecting his CBE.

He is currently the oldest surviving actor to have appeared in Doctor Who and only the third person in the series' history to become a centenarian. Many Happy Returns! :)
