    Default Friday Poll No.7: Crisps

    Crisps.

They're delicious, as this woman clearly knows.

But which are best? Salt and Vinegar? Cheese and Onion? Ready Salted?

I'm a purist. For me, those are the only flavours that matter. But I know there are those of you who might enjoy Prawn Cocktail Flavour, or Roast Beef flavour, or even Chicken. So I'm going to be kind and let you join the party too.

Of course, these days the main flavours are under threat from the so-called 'Gourmet' crisps, with Roast Lamb and Mint for example, being pretty damn tasty.

Choose your crisp. But choose wisely.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

McCoy's of any flavour are my favourite but Cool Doritos are also excellent.

But for 'normal' crisps Ready Salted are the nicest of the regular flavours followed by Chicken, Smokey Bacon, Beef & Lamb & Mint.

You can't beat a bit of meat!

Prawn Cocktail Flavour, or Roast Beef flavour, or even Chicken.
I've never seen or heard of any of these flavors in the US.

Here the big staples besideds salted are Ranch flavor, Sour Cream n' Onion, Cheddar, and BBQ. You can also find Salt N Vinegar as well as a similar offshoot of that: Dill Pickle flavor. Of course they are called Potato Chips here instead of crisps...

I chose Salt N Vinegar out of this list... always one of my favorites.

Can't remember what brand they were, but I'm fairly sure I had a packet of jalapeno flavour from the machine in my hotel in LA- that was interesting.

Pah ! You wanna get into the 21st Century, grandad.

Current favourites would be Sweet Chilli (Walkers) , Sweet Chilli Chicken (McCoys) or Thai-flavoured Pringles.

On the opposite side of the coin, tomato & mozarella pringles are

This is a tough one for me cause I love crisps, I'd say most of the time it's McCoy's Salt and Vinegar, but I do really love prawn cocktail Walkers, and salt and vinegar hoola hoops too. Sour Cream and Onion Pringles with cheese and chive dips are a thing of loveliness as well. Though as there's a mix of crisps and condiment, I guess it doesn't technically count.

Hmmmm...I just don't know which one to vote for...What to do, what to do...

Oh yes. I believe I've seen and even tried those. I don't remember when though. I'm sure I loved them though; I love jalepenos. I have a whole jar of them in my fridge, and I even bought six jalepeno plants to plant in my garden this year.

I've always been a roast chicken man myself.

Not literally of course. That would be hideous.
