God, it's not even a cheapo release by the look of those extras.

Least there's a sexy old/new TARDIS console room at the start to pep it up.

Oh, I don't know- looks as if there's nearly an hour of original material on there.

Think you misunderstood my point - that many people on here would probably prefer it to be a cheaper edition. I hope there's a good Tommy B commentary to try and save it...

I believe according to P-Bal, Prentis Hancock is on the commentary...

I was hoping this was going to be Planet of the Spiders, or even the Daleks....or Giants!

Can I be the first moaning-faced **** to say "Meh"??? Well, the first on PS.

I'd slap someone if I heard them saying it in real life.

Prentis Handjob makes it a top release.

Planet of Evil's no Talons, but it's better than some of the releases this year. I'm ok with that being released.

That'll teach me to assume that when everybody moans about a choice of story, they're moaning about the same things...I think they key point about 'Planet' on DVD is that the jungle will look fantastic.

    Why, have they re-made it?

Seriously, it is fairly fab, but not as much so on the video taped sections.

Shame they couldn't make the whole thing on film, I'd probably enjoy it much more

Acting in Doctor Who... Is that going to be a masterclass by the rather wooden Prentis H? And if so, how on earth will they spin it out to 13 minutes!!!

Works for me! Pity it's not In-Vision commentary, we could have seen him giving the famous 'Hancock scowl'.

Perhaps when they release the incomplete Reign of Terror, we can have an In-Vision commentary with Ronald Pickup.

A bit of a surprise this one? Never expected this one yet. When's it coming?

Actually, for all its infamy on PS as the Planet of Wretched Evil, I do have a soft spot for this one. I don't usually 'do' grim, but Tom's performance here is probably as grim as it gets, and I really like it. There are some cheap sets, yes, but the jungle looks good and there are some distinctive visuals (the part 2 cliffhanger, and the scenes inside the pool, for example). It could be a bit of a gem on DVD.

You have to watch it at christmas to get the full effect.

Presumably because you'll be so high on sherry and mince pies you won't notice how mind numbingly dreary and slow it is.

At least next year will be good for DVDs. There's not many more crappuns to bring out.
