Terry Scully and Donald Gee have appeared in The Forsyte Saga playing Bicket and Butterfield. Bicket's wife, Victorine (the lovely Geraldine Sherman), has just started doing a spot of nude modelling.

I wager that, tonight, ten minutes into 'Casino Royale', I was the only person in the cinema who thought, "Yay, it's Tom Chadbon!"

I think he was probably the only person in the movie who didn't punch anyone!

Is that a period version of Casualty?
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

not exactly it's based on hospital records and diary's taken from the archives of The Royal London Hospital.. from 1906.

Isn't Smella Emberg in that as well or did I imagine her name in the Radio Times?

I'm still bewildered as to what Casualty 1906 actually is! Is it a documentary/drama, or a dramatisaton of historic events?

Medical drama fans are in for a treat on Sunday, December 3.

BBC One will be broadcasting Casualty 1906, a period version of the ever-popular show which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.

It is based on real-life characters, cases and events which took place at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel a century ago.

Heading the cast is Cherie Lunghi, who's no stranger to soapland after playing Steve Owen's lover, Jan Sherwood, in EastEnders back in 2001.

David Troughton and Sarah Smart (both of whom have appeared in the regular version of Casualty) will also star, alongside newcomer Tom Riley.
    So there you go.

We saw Pamela "Remembrance" Salem, Simon "Remembrance" Williams and Jasmine "Remembrance" Breaks the other day. We were, unsurprisingly, watching "Remembrance". It was really good.

Watching series one of The Detectives this week, I've spotted:

    George Sewell (obviously, from Remembrance)
Eileen Way (as an old woman, no surprises there)
    Michael Melia (bloke from Visitation/Eastenders)
Anthony Head (no Stewart at that time)
    Peter Jeffrey (the Macra/Tara legend)
    Harold Innocent (Gilbert M!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
    Georgina Hale (Daisy K)
    Leslie Grantham (Davros' slave)
Terence Alexander (bloke from Mark of the Rani)
Tip Tip Tip Tip Tipping, lay a little egg for me

Small item on Look North tonight about a guy in York who's made his own Dalek but can't get it over pedestrian crossings. The guy in question is apparently a model maker for conventions and so on, and seemed to live with his dad.

God, I need a woman to get me away from all this...

File this one (from a BBCi story about post office closures) under "nice little sidelines":

"Colin Baker, general secretary of the National Federation of Subpostmasters, said a recovery package was needed.

He said local post offices were struggling because more people were shopping on the internet and telephone and in larger towns."

In a recent poll by the National Federation of Subpostmasters, he came out as the least favourite general secretary in the organisation's history, although he continues to record a series of CDs recalling his adventures as The Subpostmaster.

I put Shark Attack 3 - Megaladon on my dvd rental list just because John Barrowman's in it.

I'm about half way through, but so far it's the best bad movie ever made! The dubbing is appalling, the effects really dodgy (including some great inserts of stock footage where the dip in film quality is really obvious), it has nudity about every 4 minutes, and John has to keep on laughing at anything and everything, and then go all a bit serious. And the Shark keeps on killing people at about one per five minutes, which is great value for money!

I haven't laughed so much whilst watching a film in bloomin ages - it's a must see!

That film was mentioned when John was on the Jonathan Ross show the other week. He said there was a line in it that he jokingly ad-libbed and they kept it in. I can't remember what it was though but it was something lewd.

I got that film dirt cheap on DVD the other week. The line to which you refer is shocking. It would be no good trying to say it on here now though.

It's not a good film but it's very entertaining.

You mean it was that line that John ad-libbed? The one which even Mrs Slocombe couldn't get away with?!?! Blimey! It was a very funny moment though, just because it was so unexpected.

I watched the rest of the film last night. It's very, very silly, but pretty damn enjoyable stuff. Well, if you like really OTT bad movies it is...

I just saw Mr Barrowman crooning something wretched on the Royal Variety Show. Bless his cottons.
