I enjoy 22 out of 24 of the stories - the two that are below par in my view still beat a lot of other Doctor's outings
Those that don't like 'em are the losers in my view especially when they're supposedly fans of the show but it only reaffirms my view that there's 10 versions of DW and you can't please everybody all of the time
I'm still waiting for another thread where we declare another doctor's era a top one or rubbish
The author of the thread is not a fan of the Pertwee era (and also the one who declared the Brig gay to stir things up, a total of two threads both for controversy) and I'm pleased the thread backfired and failed as a vehicle to slag off the third DoctorLast edited by Ralph; 14th Jan 2008 at 2:40 PM.

The Pertwee era needs no defence from those who only have a very superficial view of it.

I'm in the middle. Pertwee had some great stories (eg Ambassadors/Mind of Evil), he had some totally pants stories (eg Mutants/Frontier). Just like any other Doctor. I haven't voted, I can't subscribe to either view, it's not that clear cut.

He helped redefine the role as more of an action hero, which is no mean feat.
