One of them is false.
Here's a game from way back on the old PS.
All you ahve to do is tell us three facts about yourself. Two of them must be the truth, one of them is a big fat lie. When someone guesses correctly what the lie is, they get to take the next turn...
So which of these is the whopping great fib?
1. I used to live in Bath
2. My favourite fruit is raspberries
2. I once wrote a novelisation of City of Death.

Surely this one Si - "I once wrote a novelisation of City of Death."
If not then Terrance Dicks has instructed me to come around and break your legs for muscling into his turf ...

I'm going to plump for the raspberry bit being a bit of a fib. Why? Well, there's a niggle in the back of my head connecting you and living in Bath for some reason (though I may of course be mixing that up a bit), and writing a novelisation of an un-novelised story is something I thought of doing once or twice, so I can easily believe someone else might have done it too.
So, am I right? If I am does that mean I have to give three statements about myself?

It's the Bath one.

Mr White Crow is right. I did The Pirate Planet, but never did City of Death!
Your go, Mike.
Just for the record I lived in Bath for a few months at the start of 1981 (I watched Warriort's Gate and Keeper of Traken and Logopolis there) and I adore Raspberries. They're very tasty!

Okay here we go ...
1) I was once responsible for providing sex education at a Catholic school.
2) I lived in Toulouse, France when I was an exchange student from the University of Essex.
3) I worked as a strawberry picker in the summer of 1989 and have a dislike of them because of it.

Ooh, you cheeky sod! I thought you might have written a novelisation. Didn't realise you'd be so sneaky though.
Oh well, at least I got it wrong for the right reason....

Wrong - it was one of the worst jobs I've had. The woman in charge of the fields was some kind of nasty Nazi (as opposed to the nice kind), I got terribly burned and had to walk home about 5-6 miles each day. All for the glorious pay of 10 a day - before minimum wages folks.
Anyway I can't eat a strawberry now without remember that bitterness, so prefer raspberries now, like Si!

I'll go for the living in France one then, it seems the most inconspicuous of the three facts.

I'll go for the educating catholics in sex one then.

ITS TRUE - I was a science teacher and sex education was on my syllabus. I got into a lot of trouble for mentioning contraception which was on the syllabus, but which some of the Catholic teachers felt should be omitted.
IS FALSE - I was an exchange student, but I chose to go to Jena, Germany instead of Toulouse. Worst mistake ever, as there were a lot of French lovely ladies in Toulouse by all accounts. Instead I got the kind of East German ladies on steroids who didn't believe in shaving ANYWHERE!!! That'll get Cullsoft's interest ....
Your turn Alex.

Yay! I won!
My three are:
1) I was once really rude to Timmy Mallet after he pushed in front of me in a queue in WH Smiths.
2) I was once directly responsible for Chelsea's John Terry being unable to buy a car which cost 60,000.
3) I once chatted to Sophie Ellis Bextor but spent the whole time asking about her mum Janet.
(Paul's not allowed to play btw, because he just knows me too well!)"RIP Henchman No.24."

I'd say #1, because anyone would've done the same. Especially to Mallet.

Pip, you're supposed to pick the one that isn't true, not the most likely one!
I'll go for Number 2. Number 3 seems far too likely. It's what I'd do!

It was no.1 - but the incident did happen, it was just that it was Peter Stringfellow I was rude too rather than "The Mallet". I didn't even realise that it was Mr Stringfellow I'd been rude too though until a friend pointed it out to me.
No. 3 did indeed happen Si, it was when she was in the indie band The Audience. She was lovely too, thinking back to it I should have tried to chat her up rather than asking about her mum!
Oh, and as for No.2, at one point I was temping for a large motor finance company, where we'd get fax's from car dealerships with the info about the buyer and which car he wanted to buy, and then type it in to a computer. I made a mistake though, when it came to entering his profession there wasn't a category for "Premiership Footballer", so I selected "manual worker", and for that reason alone he was refused!"RIP Henchman No.24."

Yay! I won!
Here's three about me:
#1 - I had two letters published in Doctor Who Magazine during the late 90s.
#2 - I regularly post on the RT Forum under an assumed name.
#3 - I'm going to see Genesis perform live at three different gigs this year.
-

Too easy Pip - its #2, and you post as Mark Ayres
Bazinga !

If I was Mark Ayres and I had to put up with all the daft questions, I'd probably have slit my throat by now.

It's number 3 - you're going to see Genesis perform twice this year, not 3 times.

It's number 1 actually! Well done Mr Crow.
I only ever had one letter published in DWM, back in issue 281 if I'm not mistaken, the one with Hartnell on the cover, I was writing to point out how much the guard from 'The Underwater Menace' looked like Paul Whitehouse. They weren't very amused.
#2 is true - I'm not going to tell you my secret identity though!
#3 is also true - as well as going to both Manchester and Twickenham to see them in the flesh, I'm also going to watch them perform in Dusseldorf, Germany, via the magic of satellite, as VUE cinemas are broadcasting the gig to 40 cinemas across the UK, in High-Definition on the big screen with 5.1 surround sound. Sneaky that one.

I thought by 'going' to see someone live, you actually had to get off your backside and go to the gig *raises eyebrows*.
