I welcome releases from the "Golden Era" too - and the S3 boxset (2007 vintage) is out in November!
From an earlier "Golden Era", we have Planet of Evil out next month.

Completed my viewing of TW today. I'd agree the original explosion at the end looks better than the CGI. The other effects I thought were just fine.
Watching CGI on the Lord of The Rings Twin Towers tonight even when it's presumably done expensively it still looks like obvious computer animation to me at times.
Hope we don't have to wait 15 months for the next Pertwee release as it would probably mean no release for 2008

Don't worry, Ralph - if nothing else, I'm fairly confident you'll see one of the Pertwee Dalek stories next year. Well, it's either that or The Chase!

Lack of June Brown was the only thing that marred this otherwise excellent release for me

Finally got around to buying this in Leeds today- OK, so it costs a pound or two more, but in my present state of mind I'd rather know it was paid for than have it hanging around on a credit card forever.
Plus I took the opportunity to bump my W H Smith Clubcard points up, so if they have the Key to Time set on Monday and put their usual chart discount on, I should end up paying something like the online price.

I finally got around to watching this last night. I couldn't be arsed with the new effects, I just wanted to wallow in nostalgia, so i watched it as it was meant to be.
It's great fun this one. Irongron & Bloodaxe steal the show for me. 'Yours is indeed a towering intelligence'.

You two ARE Irongron and Bloodaxe.
I'll leave it up to you both to decide who's who.
