New BBC Press Release confirms all the recent casting and storyline stuff:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pre...orchwood.shtml

Another familiar face among the surprise guest stars is Doctor Who's gorgeous companion Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman) who brings her time-travelling expertise and medical skills to the team halfway through the series.
    "smash-hit thriller drama"
    "gorgeous companion"
    "compelling new storylines"

    It's all lies!

"I can't say too much about him, except he is naughty and a bit of a psychopath," Marsters said. "I am a huge fan of Doctor Who and Torchwood so it was me who knocked on their door."

Is this where we start to give him ideas on what sort of story we'd want?

    Congrats Joe.

The confirmed list is only 11 episodes, Joe must be doing one or both of the others.

Joe's episode is a complete rip-off of Willy Fog: Around The World In Eighty Days and The Mysterious Cities Of Gold.

    And popcorn.

    That is exclusive information.

I've just read that, according to something he said on BBC News 24 today, Richard Briers will be appearing in the second series.

They really went to town with the airbrush didn't they... is it me, or does it look like Freema's been placed in that photo? Something about it that just looks a tiny bit jarring.

If RTD is looking I want to see a side on fully naked love scene with Martha and Captain Jack.....AND Gwen catching a sneeky peak, oh and lots of Tosh ! In fact how about "Toshwood"

I'm worried about them mixing black and brown leather.

The more leather there is, the more chance there'll be that I'll actually tune in.

What's wrong with doing that? I have some very nice shoes that are Black & Brown leather.

Hmm, I'm not sure about this new series. It doesn't sound great, but I'm not writing it off until I've seen it.

Didn't RTD say something in DWM along the lines of making it 'more fun' and that the first episode is the funniest one they've done so far. I would have thought part of Torchwood's appeal was it's darker sort of feel. Gwen with a bump just sounds like it might potentially be a comedy episode. We shall see I suppose...
