Default Your Favourite Stars Of TV and Film

We've all got our favourite stars of television and film, so who's yours?

Fenella Fielding just randomly appeared on the radio, and it was lovely to hear her voice, she's a real living icon in my eyes, has been ever since she spooked me in CBBC's Uncle Jack all those years ago. She was saying she's just worked with Jarvis Cocker, which puts her up even higher in my estimation.

I'll return with more of my faves later.

    Jimmy Stewart Diana Rigg

    Glynis Barber

    Lucy Lawless

Also a mention for Taggart himself, Mark McManus...

Of course the last 3 aren't in the same league ability-wise, but I find some of them great fun to watch. For various reasons.

Yeah, because of the skimpy outfits!

And you like the eye candy of Glynis & Lucy as well.

I'd have Jimmy Stewart and Michael Caine in my list too, plus:

John Cusack - though he really doesn't make enough good films these days, damn him.

Ms Barrymore - who also has a dodgy ratio of good to bad films, but hey, when she's great, she really is fantastic.

Mr Depp - who thankfully rarely ever puts a step wrong.

Chris Morris - Regarded as a fantastic comedian / satirist, I think his acting skills are largely ignored but I think he's superb in a lot of the roles he's played, like Ted Maul and Austin Tassletine. And it's a real shame he's not in the new series of The IT Crowd as I thought his character was one of the best things about it.

I've had a think, and here's my choices:

Leslie Phillips (greatest living Englishman), Tom Baker (childhood hero), Richard Beckinsale (tragic loss at such an early age)

Paula Wilcox/Richard O'Sullivan/Sally Thomsett (made a great team on Man About The House), David Tennant (best Doctor since Tom!), Ronnie Barker (incredibly talented man)

Steve Coogan (Alan Partridge, Tony Ferrino, Paul Calf, love them all), Rik Mayall (just makes me laugh, surprisingly good straight actor too!), Seth Macfarlane (creator of Family Guy & American Dad, such a diverse voice!)

Reeves and Mortimer (I grew up on their mad comedy), Madeline Kahn (only recently discovered how amazing an actress/singer she was), Mel Brooks (comedy genius)

Gene Wilder (great actor, lots of charisma), Christopher Eccleston (outstanding actor, had the pleasure of telling him), Mike Myers (especially as Austin)
