Not to mention that she'd obviously been beaten by The Master, as shown by the bruises on her face.

I was thinking about the issue of the Master being shot earlier today (it's been a slow day). There's very little indication prior to the shooting that Mrs Saxon is anything but loyal to the Master.
Aside from her balck eye and the jealousy she showed when the master was flirting with his masseur...

And that she says "Doctor" along with everyone else when the countdown reaches zero.

Five years later and I'm looking at the big long posts in this thread, thinking that Twitter has rotted our brains. People have gone on for paragraphs and paragraphs, talking about why they didn't like the Diddy Doctor or how Lucy Saxon doesn't seem to have a clear motive for shooting the Master.

There's one thing that was bugging me for five years and sadly, I'm ashamed to say, I missed the one line of dialogue that explained it. What was going on with the signal in Utopia? Who set it up, why were the humans going there? And apparently it was Lucy and the Master traveling forward to the year 10 trillion who set up the signal. Case closed!

I enjoyed this even more watching it now. The Master really manages to hurt the Doctor, although it turns out OK in the end. Captain Jack gets to fire lots of guns and be super manly, you can tell John Barrowman is loving it! But it's Martha's episode. I really like her in this one, she is fantastic. The year-older-battle-scarred Martha gives her that bit of extra depth as a character to make her really interesting. I might even have to pick up that 'Martha's Story' book they did of her travels around the world now...

Yes, it was a good one. Hurrah.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

If you take a shot for every tweet, 1) your brains would rot and 2) you'd be quite popular on twitter. Especially if you Instgrammed a photo of yourself tweeting and shooting at the same time.
