If they're released as standalones in the future then I'll just wait till then (for the sales)...

Out of interest, did you know that...
The Prime ads were used on the "More Than 30 Years" VHS after an extensive search for the copyright holder, who it seems no longer exists as a corporate entity. The BBC mark this down as an "await claim", with money set aside, in case someone challenges the BBC over this in the future.

I hope they're including all 4 of them...

I think, going from subtle hints MArk Ayres is dropping, we're going to see a 5.1 mix on the new version of Remembrance.

Hmmmmm, so hypothetically, if the Davros boxset were, say, an 8 dvd set, what could it contain?

Genesis 2 discs
Destiny 1 (surely?)
Resurrection 1
Revelation 1
Remembrance 2 discs
And 1 bonus disc perhaps?“If my sons did not want wars, there would be none.” - Gutle Schnaper Rothschild

Those new Remembrance extras don't really justify a second disc do they?
Unless there's Fenric style "special edition" that no-one knows about yet!

Would it be awful of me to admit that I don't care about the 5.1 mixes. Have the majority of people REALLY got a surround-sound system that allows them to listen to the 5.1s, or is it actually only catering to a minority?

But don't you have to put the speakers in certain places (back left corner, front right, whatever). I can't vouch for anybody else, but there's so much... stuff, in our sitting-room I don't think I could fit in five speakers!!
I kind of pick & choose the DVDs anyway, but even so, 5.1 surrounds and new CGI are two features that wouldn't influence me to buy at all.

Well, the speakers are quite small really, mine are smaller than the length of a DVD case... but I understand trying to fit a 5.1 setup into a small room can be difficult. I rather enjoy the new CGI, as long as it isnt at the cost of the possibility of other more interesting extras.

I used to have a 5.1 set-up at a previous home, but don't these days (due to space). I really miss being able to listen to them though.

I'm very pleased and impressed that they're doing 5.1 mixes for the DVD's, I think it's fabulous.
But I can understand that most people wouldn't bother with 5.1 and wouldn't give a fig!Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I'm really intrigued as to what will be in the boxset, as from what I've seen it's going to carry a very high RRP.

I really can't see what they can include in this that would make it anything other than a huge rip-off.

My word! Only a 'Wheel In Space' Target book would warrant that cost!
I don't see them being able to sell an old series box set that costs more than a new series one, unless it had about 35 stories in it.Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

For 100 it would have to come with the actors doing a live commentary in my living room every time I wanted to watch it (including the remians of Michael Wisher propped up in the corner)
