"The insider added: “It is a bit of a gamble having Doctor Who without the Doctor – it has never been done before"."
A BBC "insider" who isn't aware of Mission to the Unknown is frankly not worth listening to. I don't know what Cardiff is teaching its underlings these days but a lack of basic knowledge is unacceptable. Equally, I have lost all confidence in The Sun as they obviously don't bother to check their facts before printing "them".Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?
If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...

Also the bit about them writing out the Doctor because he "could be in danger of getting in the way" is a bit suspect, given they have strived to write the Doctor out of the same slot in each of the previous seasons.

I think I said pretty much the same thing last year and got it right, I also predicted the useage of a Scissor Sisters track before too long and that was right too. Besides, where would be the fun in life if you were only allowed to have opinions about things you actually knew about

I must be the only person that loved that Scissor Sisters track (but then I'm a big Scissor Sisters fan anyway).

David Jason's got a job though, whereas James is on the dole by all accounts.
