I do get tired of the sheer pessimism around these parts sometimes. No, Doctor Who would not be finished, we all know they'd find SOME way to make it work because they always do. It would be fine.

"The insider added: “It is a bit of a gamble having Doctor Who without the Doctor – it has never been done before"."

A BBC "insider" who isn't aware of Mission to the Unknown is frankly not worth listening to. I don't know what Cardiff is teaching its underlings these days but a lack of basic knowledge is unacceptable. Equally, I have lost all confidence in The Sun as they obviously don't bother to check their facts before printing "them".
Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?

If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...

Also the bit about them writing out the Doctor because he "could be in danger of getting in the way" is a bit suspect, given they have strived to write the Doctor out of the same slot in each of the previous seasons.

Yeah - as the Doctor appeared in the Christmas special without his usual companions, it was kind of obvious something on these lines would happen.

The series is the last for star David Tennant, 36, but he will play the Doctor in four special episodes in 2009 and in a movie version.
Where did she get that guff?

It opens with the pair tackling aliens in London.
Wow. Knock me over with a feather. No doubt it will end with the pair tackling aliens in London too. With a few episodes inbetween where they also tackle aliens in London. What happened to the "we can go anywhere and do anything" aspect of the show?

How about you watch the series first, form an opinion, and then bitch about it afterwards?

I think I said pretty much the same thing last year and got it right, I also predicted the useage of a Scissor Sisters track before too long and that was right too. Besides, where would be the fun in life if you were only allowed to have opinions about things you actually knew about

I must be the only person that loved that Scissor Sisters track (but then I'm a big Scissor Sisters fan anyway).

    That's a bit of a non-story really.

Wasn't he rumoured to have played the Master in series 1 too? He didn't appear in the show then either!

David Jason's got a job though, whereas James is on the dole by all accounts.

I've not appeared in every single episode of Doctor Who, Frazier and
Dangermouse, and you've never complained about that!
