Now, putting aside the huge possibility that The Sun have got it all wrong again, this actually sounds like a rather good idea (presuming the scripts can back up the casting). Ben actually looks like he could physically suit the role very well- which isn't the insult it seems because he's a very handsome man, but I can see the potential to be Davros!

I'd love Kate O'Mara to return as the Rani... as long as Pip and Jane are nowhere near Cardiff.

SPOILER????
Earlier this year, The Sun reported that Footballers' Wives star Zoe Lucker was a "dead cert" for the part of the Time Lady.
Therefore, could they be planning a Master style regeneration?

If they get Ben Kingsley at least we won't be stuck with Davros too often. I don't see them getting him back too often.
Shame though as I'm liking the Davros free Daleks.

'Course, if they got me playing Davros, they would'nt need to bother with these prosthetic thingies. I've even got my own PVC clothing. (I shouldn't have said that...)

When I read Ziggy Tardis for Doctor Who for a ,minute I dreaded they meant the git from Big Brother.
David Bowie in Who would be fantastic. After Kylie, it's possible! But yes, not likely.

So was he ever officially asked to be in The Dark Dimension or was that just pie in the sky at the time? It sounds like he turned down Sharaz Jek because he was busy rather than because it was a terrible idea or anything.

Bowie's rubbished the claims:
David Bowie has denied reports he is to star in BBC show Doctor Who, rubbishing the claims as "absolute tish and tosh".
Tabloid newspaper The Sun reported that the 60-year-old singer was set to play an evil alien abductor in a two-part special planned for next year. A statement on Bowie's website says the show's producers previously approached him about a cameo role in the series in the Eighties, but he declined.
Bowie played an alien in the 1976 film, The Man Who Fell to Earth. According to the newspaper, Bowie had agreed to play an alien who kidnaps crime author Agatha Christie - who in real life mysteriously disappeared for 11 days in 1926.
A spokeswoman for the BBC One show also denied the story.

I like the idea of the reintroduction of Davros, as long as its done well, the new and improved Daleks need a bit of a kick after Manhattan/Evolution, and I think Ben Kingsley would be stunning in the role!

well I have no doubts a reintroduction of Davros would be handled with great care and I reckon the best person to do it would be Steven Moffet.
