This surely has to be a load of nonsense. If he can't fit into his old costume, make him a new one. Or design a brand new one. Putting him in a future Doctor's costume just because he fits into it is just daft!!

PS However, it's in The Sun so it must be true!!

Plus there must be at least two as Colin wore one for the regeneration.

Don't forget though, the BBC have the delicious habit of selling off their costumes if not used for some time.

Broadcasting live from Television Centre, the BBC Children In Need Appeal once again raises the curtain on an entertaining evening for viewers. Last year saw the most successful appeal to date with appearances from stars including McFly, Girls Aloud, Keane, Connie Fisher and the BBC newsreaders helping to raise over £18m on the night.

This year's show will see stars of stage and screen gather to perform their most spectacular musical hits, or even reveal hidden talents.

Lee Mead will open this year's show at 7pm with a live performance of Any Dream Will Do, before rushing back to the West End for a slightly later than usual performance of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Other highlights for the evening include an exclusive performance from the Spice Girls and a very special episode of Doctor Who.

Ha-ha, how lovely! If only they could have got his surname right on the photo-caption.

Should be a bit of fun though!

    Woooo-hooooo! Davison is back! Yay!

Sorry, I'm suddenly finding this very exciting! He's in the right costume! Even THE HAT! I love that hat.

Ermmm. perhaps I'll go and make a cup of tea after that explosion of excitement.

I thought you were saying "Erimem" for some reason at the start of that second paragraph at first.

Am I the only one wishing it was a full proper episode?

What's up with Tennant's hair in that picture?! He looks like he's just crawled out of bed after a night with Melinda Messenger.

Excellent! 'My Doctor' and the current Doctor. Hopefully this will lead to Eight returning in a full episode, or one of the 'gap year' specials!

You do all realise Davison is wearing the season 19 jumper and shirt with the season 21 jacket and trousers. What an elementary mistake

It's a single scene, so I guess it'll be 5 minutes like the last CIN special in 2005.
