    Default Batman

As part of its Comics Britannia season BBC 4 tonight starts a re-run of the first series (34 episodes) of the 1960's Batman series starring Adam West and Burt Ward. Anyone gonna watch?

I remember these from the first time round, taping some of the episodes on a reel to reel tape recorder, recording them this time on a domestic DVD reocorder will be a very different experience, but nonetheless enjoyable as they haven't yet been released on DVD and I haven't seen them for many a year. I'm looking forward to it, hope they show more than just the first series.

I was meant to go see Withnail & I tonight in Manchester but my mate's come down with flu, so I might catch this (in half an hour, Carol).

I've got the 1966 movie on DVD, that's enough for me.

Adam West is awesome. But he overcharges.

    I love that- it's pop-Art Fabtastic!

It's not got Julie Newmar in it though.

I've been enjoying the series on BBC4. Camp nonsense of course, but good fun, especially the bit where The Joker was "sprung" from the Penitentiary on a giant spring. And Ceaser Romero's portrayal of The Joker is spot on.
