The problem is the narative in 2001 is an unusual one, things aren't explained at all, and you have to follow along with it.

It's perfectly clear to me!

All the clues are there as to whats going on!

I must see it on a huge cinema screen one day as well. I think that's half the reason it was made!

Me too - I kept meaning to watch it at the student cinema when I was at University and never managed it.

I remember me and some mates watching it getting a curry, very drunk and a bit spliffed during the Gulf War. Was a wierd night as you can imagine, and probably the best time I ever had at University.

I watched this for the first time today and its a visual treat,its steeped in atmosphere featuring relatively few characters,plus it uses my favourite piece of classical music in The Blue Danube-fantastic stuff
