My first serious who-viewing in a while, last night I mustered the energy to start on the S2 boxset, reviewing my ratings as I go. Watched New Earth (70%), Tooth & Claw (95%), School Reunion (93%) & Girl In The Fireplace (89%).

I've just embarked on a trip to Androzani. Andrew Curnow wouldn't approve! Especially as I'm really enjoying it too!

I have to admit that I've been humming some of the Caves incidental music to myself at work this past couple of days.

I think I may be coming down with something...

Madame Magma beast was menacing miners this morning. We've been trying to imagine what would have happened if Sharaz Jek had been played by Paul Darrow. Or Ronald Allen!

What about Bernard Horsfall? Or, dare I suggest, Prentis Hancock?

Finished Dalek Conquests CD 1 last night with Day of the Daleks - quite a good place to mark halfway with the hypothesis that the Time Lords are taking more of an interest in the Daleks' activities due to their tinkering with time...

Started Image Of The Fendahl last night. Surprised how soon Tom changed from his Hinchcliffe era persona to his Williams era one. Still a good episode though.

I finished all that business on Androzani. It was pretty doomy, but part 4 is possibly one of the most exciting episodes of the show ever.

This morning I watched Bad Wolf/ Parting of the Ways on a whim and wow! I really loved them both.

We've started Doctor Who and Debbie Lee London on the basis that I say it's christmassy. It's orange, it's got snow in it and I gorrit for christmas in 1991 and watched it that day.

And there's a soundbite for ya.

I watched Kinda last night, really enjoyed it, the scenes with Tegan and the Mara could have come straight out of a David Lynch film! I loved the way they were shot too, they stood up as being unsettling and quite freaky to this day.

Nerys Hughes was great as well, doing the strong female who's not going to put up with too much craziness from the Doctor, and all the Domb inhabitants were fascinating, I thought their descent in to insanity was played out really well.

I remember being freaked out when I was a kid by the big snake. But, well, time hasn't been kind. But bar that, I thought it was damn good stuff, I'm really getting in to Davison's first season now, and shall be watching The Visitation tonight hopefully, which was always a favourite of mine when I was young.

Been watching The Key to Time season. Makes me nostalgic for the days when Doctor Who was actually an imaginative adventure series rather than a repetitive mopey soap opera.

I've had a huge Who session these last few days and watched The Visitation, Black Orchid and Earthshock.

All were great (The Visitation's always been a favourite of mine), and Black Orchid was a surprisingly fun if a tad frivilous escapade, even if I guessed that the creature in the attic was the long lost brother the moment he was mentioned! ;-)

Earthshock really surprised me though, I'd been really looking forward to Adric's death but in that final story he's less bratty (well, the final two episode's anyhow) and I was saddened to see him go...

Oooh, and unbelievably Tegan's stopped annoying me finally. Which I never imagined would ever ever ever happen!
