Be fair, that's nothing clever, my legs go all the way up to my arse too. Otherwise there'd be an odd sort of void just below my midriff and it would make it very difficult to keep one's underwear on.

It's an important anniversary in Spiceworld today.
Ten years since the Girls named Spice played their first headlining concert.
Hair pieces, glitter, sweat, over dubbed vocals for the video and TV version and lots of nervous banter. Great day.
