Mine Sweeper
Come on, we all play it at some time or other. So own up, how often do you play it & what's your best score?

On my last day in my last job (back in March 2004) we all came into work (having been warned that we might have to work the full day if the phone calls hadn't switched) to find the phones had already been ripped out, there was no paperwork and nothing at all for any of us to do until the bacon butty order arrived at about 10 and the pubs opened at 11.
So I played Minesweeper for about three hours because it hadn't been disabled on the PCs.

I played this when I first got a computer, but soon found much more interesting games. If I'm passing time at work, it's usually Solitaire I go for.

Mine Sweeper is for the more logical mind.
My best scores are 6 seconds for Beginner, 67 seconds for Intermediate & 172 seconds for Expert.

I've been playing a fair bit of Chess Titans (which comes with Vista, I'm not sure if that version's been on other windows packages) recently, and it's really got me in to chess again. I used to play when I was a kid a lot, but haven't in ages, but I've played about 20 games in the past week, and am mostly winning when I play level 4 now. Level 10 demolishes me embarrassingly quickly though, I think it might be a long old time before I even start to do well there.

my mum used to be addicted to that.
For every fail, there is an equal and opposite win.
