00:09:39:03 NOW & THEN - THE LOCATIONS OF DOCTOR WHO AND THE SILURIANS
Are the locations for this story likely to have changed much? Surely it's just the moors and an old farmyard? I suppose there's whatever London Station it is too but it's not an obvious candidate for a "Now and Then".

Do you think Barry Letts will appear to tell us, yet again, how the rest of the world calls it Chromakey ?

    More extras:

00:36:35:15 HELLO SAILOR! - MAKING THE SEA DEVILS
00:08:37:02 THE SEA DEVILS - PHOTO GALLERY
00:01:02:23 DOCTOR WHO - COMING SOON TO DVD... - THE TIME MEDDLER
    00:03:51:01 (UNTITLED)
    00:06:18:01 (CONTINUITIES)
"Hello Sailor" indeed I think, for many, the highlight of this release might be the never-before-seen 8mm cinefilm footage taken during filming of "The Sea Devils" - Bignell tracked it down...

It belonged to one of the ratings at the Fraser Gunnery Range, many of whom were used in the story. We've known about the possible existence of the footage for many years, it was tracking the man down that was the hard bit! Coverage in Navy News and the local newspapers resulted in the recovery of the footage. The footage totals around 4' 22" although there are a few black sections which would probably bring it down to around four minutes.

    Richard
Ralph, Wayne and Thascalos will be pleased!

Continuities seems a bit long for just the BBC2 1992 repeat stuff, even though it's six episodes. I was expecting about 3-4 minutes.

Do you think we'll get the BBC Video trailer as well? Was that actually shown during 'The Sea Devils' repeat run (too lazy to check my VHS)?

Do you think they've recreated the 1972 (72 or 74 repeat?) intros?

Do you think that's enough questions for one post?

I think they'll cover the pantomime horse in the main documentary. And the commentary, which could be "Time-Flight"-esque (ie everyone thinks its bobbins and keeps pointing out why).

The "moors" are around the Hog's Back in Surrey, and if my memory serves correctly there's also a shot of Bessie ambling down Godalming High Street, both locations which may have changed a fair bit. Marylebone has also been somewhat transformed in the last 30-odd years- it was very run down until about 15 years ago but has been revamped quite a bit and was featured in the Martine McCutcheon episode of Spooks a couple of years ago.

Do you think they've recreated the 1972 (72 or 74 repeat?) intros?
There are probably various bits and pieces surviving on audios made at the time- would depend on how interesting they were for 2007 viewers.

Nope, Science in Action is a real series of schools programmes about Science. I don't think we've got the plastics one mentioned here, but I show these programmes to my students all the time.

I managed to track down the barn and the hospital on one of my location trips a few years ago - they look quite different too

Not sure about the 'Beneath The Surface' title, but it certainly looks very nice!

Have the individual covers been released yet?

Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Rather nice looking, but I'm not too sure about the merit of putting the dodgy dino so prominently!

This description from the BBC Shop link will make the Pertwee fans smile!

All three Silurians/Sea Devils stories in one box set. Two classic stories starring Jon Pertwee as the third Doctor, plus a third story starring Peter Davison as the fifth Doctor.
    Poor Warriors!

I'm not even sure it needed an overall title. They would have been better just putting the three story titles on the box a la 'Time-Flight/Arc Of Infinity'.

The box set title is courtesy of Dame Gary Russell, according to Steve Roberts!
