Wasnt it Ringo Star who said of Hitlers visit that it was like he was casing the place before bombing it?

Beryl Bainbridge once wrote a novel based on that idea.

The Borders website now lists this event as 12:00pm - 14:00pm.

Bugger. I can't go then. There's no way i can get there for that time, sadly.

Edited to add: are you sure? The only thing I can see on there lists 12am as the start time? I'm confused.

Yes. Well I mean 12 lunchtime. AM to PM as Christina Milian once said.

Well two hours earlier than previously thought!

What a pain in the rectum. We're gonna have to get up early now and rush to London and it's messed up the whole day. We should tell her this!

I've persuaded Steve to pop in to the store and see what's going on. I'm not convinced by that time on the website!

It's a pain in the arse, and means we'd have to be leaving for London at some ungodly time, not to mention not being able to see you guys.

Who finishes a signing at 2pm?! Has she got a busy Saturday afternoon planned?

Hmm. It just seems strange to me that the Borders website has been saying 12am all week and everywhere else has been advertsiing the 2-4 signing times. We'll see, eh?

I thought you lot didn't like Liz Sladen anyway? You've spent enough time dissing her in the past.......

No, I like her now. I certainly respect her far more than most other companion actresses because she has a proper dignity and respect for her role. Occasionally a little too much, which is when she gets a tad annoying (demanding creative control and more money etc) but generally I'd rather she act like the Queen of Sheba than turn up to the opening of an envelope like Aldred, Tamm etc. She's perhaps not the most LOVABLE of Who actresses (e.g like Lovely Louise) but she is the most integral.

Interesting. Just playing devils advocate you understand, but whilst Sophie does perhaps grasp onto anything associated with the show, i remember her being praised for her goodwill towards fandom & being a lovely person etc... Whilst Sladen's 'Queen of Sheba' attitude was defintely not condoned, to say the least.
It's all fair enough though. Nothing's set in stone. I hope you all have a good day.
I've only ever met her the once, but she was very nice & friendly.

Hmm - you say that, but then you think to those awfully cheesy credits to K9 and Company. I mean some of those poses are faker than a Kays catalogue.

Compared to that Katy Manning has nothing to feel ashamed of over those pictures with the Daleks.

But then 'K9 is Co' is hardly integral.

Hmm. I suppose it is slightly hypocritical to be so excited about going to meet her, since I've been her chief slater all these years, but she does seem to be genuinely proud of being asked back and being the first companion to link between the new series and the old, and I am thoroughly enjoying the SJAs. She might be an old diva and be capable of being mean and throwing histrionic fits and I still cvan't quite forgive her for not wanting to share a signing with Katy Manning, but you know, you can't stay bitter forever, can you?

We'll see how she reacts on Saturday!

Exactly. Plus, she's been cast into a more positive light in recent years now we know what a mean old bitch CAROLE ANN-FORD is!!

Let's hope her new found place in Who-dom has calmed down her 'Queen of Sheba' side!

She's still a pain in the backside with Prima Donna tendencies.

But I've said it before - I blame Andrew Beech. She can be quite reasonable when he isn't about.
