Harlow Virgin is not a virgin anymore.
Something they say when most girls round here turn 13.
I popped to HMVonline and downloaded the "Headlines" song by that girl group. It's nice to officially download these things innit.

Virgin Megastore = Zavvi
Zavvi = Virgin Megastore
Thing is, it might be called Zavvi now, but their website is http://www.virginmegastores.co.uk/ and says "Welcome to Virgin Megastore" - who knows when it'll change.

When did they decide to change the name, and why? And why choose such a crap name, thus ending years of 'entering a Virgin/new Virgin opening/picked it up in a Virgin etc.' jokes?

I know. I was gutted at the thought I might have slipped into my last Virgin on Saturday. And it was Coventry.
And we all join in on the zig-a-zig-ah!

Virgin Megastores have been borrowing heavily from the Virgin group for a while now to stay afloat and it looks as if the apron strings have been cut! The nails will be in the coffin soon by the sound of things.

The digitial Virgin online store thing went the way of all flesh a few months ago. Typically only a few months after I started using it.
I've just made the first of what I imagine will be many purchases from the official Spice Girls Online store.
An overpriced t-shirt is mine, all mine.

...and following on from my post elsewhere, today in Waterstones I bought roughly equal amounts of Edith Wharton, Robert Louis Stevenson and Wilkie Collins (finally buying 'Armadale' only five years after Carol recommended it!) and one of Jeremy Clarkson's books to bring it up to the value of the vouchers.
And a fruit and nut Toblerone because it was reduced in Sainsburys.

Today I bought a new PC. I have moved from Windows ME to Vista Home Premium and the difference is vast!
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

Today Celine's Taking Chances CD/DVD combo slipped through my slot. Her hair is so huge, it must be illegal. I also got a cheapo cheapo records DVD of Spice interviews. I pray, as I know you all will too, for quotable gold.
