Bong! And finally...Sir Trev is back
News At Ten is returning to ITV in the spring with Trevor MacDonald coming out of retirement. Having not been bothered one way or another when it was axed, I'm actually really pleased. There's something reassuring about NaT, and we'll be rid of Mark smug git Austen.

Thing is, it's never really gone away, has it? OK, so it's in a slightly later timeslot at present, but it's still essentially 'News At Ten'. But I suppose, yes, it will be kind of reassuring to see it back at 10 o'clock, and, indeed, without the incredibly dull Mark Austin.
I wonbder if this will prompt the BBC to shift their news bulletin from its 10 p.m. slot?

Thing is, I stopped trusting ITV news long ago. It became a sort of televisual tabloid with scaremongering, sarcastic sensationalism. This is an opportunity to ditch that.

I really don't care. With so much access to news is anyone really bothered when a news bulletin is shown? Isn't it an outdated concept?
