    Default The Lost Boy. (SPOILERS)

First off, I really liked the poster with UNIT on in Ashley's room.
    Pharos Project! Floella Benjamin!!!

Quite an emotional one this. Very character driven.
Not quite as good as WHtSJ or EotG but not bad so far.

On the down side, Slitheen again.

On the up side!! WHAT A CLIFFHANGER!!!!

    You said it.
I found it hard to stay interested in this one....... Not a patch on WHTSJ or EOTG.

I thought that was her! But when I looked up her imdb page it didn't have the show listed amongst her credits so was a bit confused as I was all but certain it was her.

I agree with the above too, at first the reappareance of the Slitheen made me grown, but the cliffhanger was top stuff, and I'm really looking forward to next week's now. At first I found the series good but nothing special, but it's slowly becoming essential viewing now.

Can anyone confirm my feeling that CBBC are not showing the final part next Monday? Because if it's a two week wait until the next episode, I'll wait a week or so because a two week gap forced on me for the Warriors story was painful!

No I can't confirm it. Because according to my sky box The Lost Boy(2/2) is listed a usual. So your feelings are misplaced it would seem.

Although this is subject to change by the BBC.

Cheers Tim. Indeed, having bought the new Radio Times today, it confirms that part 2 is on as usual next Monday and I've also checked that Virgin On Demand has recorded part 1, which it has. So now I can watch this before the weekend, and I'll be able to see the finale "as live" as I'm not in work on Monday!

The ending reminded me of a Blakes 7 5th Season outlook I once read in a fan mag, where Orac turned out to be a traitor.

Excellent cliffhanger! That was most unexpected, and the thing with the mass conversion was a nice little twist, meaning I didn't spot who the enemies were going to be. It makes sense for them to try and get revenge on Sarah Jane after the first story, and the death of the family.

I'm skipping Neighbours tonight to record the last episode. Yep, it's that good!

    K 9 ! !

That wasn't quite up there with EotG or WHtSJ but it was good.

The ending might have been a cop out worthy of Pyramids of Mars but I still think that most kids would have been pleased with it.

I must say that this has been a consistent series that deserves another go.
I'll probably end up buying the dvd's. Well done my Sarah Jane.

I recorded it whilst it was on in the background, but couldn't really concentrate on it. Still buzzing too much from the weekend.
I've got them all on disc though, so i'm gonna watch the whole series again in my own time.

    OH MY!

K9 saved the day! How marvellous!

That was really awesome. An apocalyptic epic that didn't let up until the very end. Very entertaining and a fantastic end to what has been a really great series.

First of all, now that I know he's seen it, can I say a big sorry to Si for inadvertently revealing on Saturday night that the Slitheen were returning - I'd forgotten that he wasn't on CBBC pace (until tonight clearly) and I felt really bad.

I did enjoy this story, though I would rate it third out of the 5 in S1. Ironically perhaps for a season finale, it strikes me as a good jumping-on point too with clips from just about every story included and loads of reminders of past stories.

Pleased to see several of you surprised to see K9! I knew he'd be in it only because Lis Sladen herself said so two months ago when interviewed on CBBC prior to part 2 of Revenge! Well, she said K9 would be back briefly to help out later in the series, but it was still lovely to see him back on screen - just weeks after his 30th anniversary.

    S2 for 2008 please!

I just watched this again, & thought it was a bit better now that i've come down enough to be able to concentrate on it. I've added another point onto Tim's rankings thread.

    K-9!!!!

    The Slitheen, without farting!!!

    Floella Benjamin!!

    The Pharos Project!!

    UNIT!!

I loved this one, had managed to avoid any spoilers regarding K-9 & the Slitheen, although the pre-credit piece did give me an inkling they might return.

A wonderful series, all great stories bar, perhaps, the first Slitheen one. Much more consistent than DW S3.

    More please.

Really great, as usual. We cheered when K9 appeared but groaned when he had to go back in his hole. For goodness sake, can it be that hard to get the rights to use him? He would really make this series perfect.

I love the show and I love the team of Sarah, Maria, Luke & Clyde. Roll on Series 2!

I agree with Si - does anybody really actually believe that the long-mooted K9 series will ever be made? Why not just give him back to Sarah Jane. In fact, when he appeared, not only did I whoop with delight, I momentarily thought that he was going to destroy Mr Smith, and then stick around to take on the 'know-it-all-computer' role in season 2.

Aside from that, though, I really enjoyed episode 2 (watched it tonight) and it ended this thoroughly enjoyable series on a high note. I've not disliked any of the stories, although the middle Kudlaak story seemed decidedly 'cheaper' looking than all the others. It's been great fun, and has shown quite a range, with story 4 standing out as really a very scary concept. I think we're pretty sure of a season 2, which is good, and really it's been great. Nice, too, that the final episode filled in some of the background to Mr Smith, which I just assumed had been another gift from the Doctor.
