VH1 have already started their continuous loop of Christmas Classic tunes. Yes, that's a whole 30 days of Mull of Kintyre! (sp?)
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Well looking at that lineup I guess I'll only be watching an hours TV for the whole of the Christmas week. Apart from Who nothing inspiring.

And a My Family Christmas Special? Surely that show needs to be put down for it's own good. It's a shame that 2.4 Children isn't on anymore - that was good, but it's not gonna make a comeback with one of the stars very dead at the moment.

I'm not sure that I'll be spending enough of Christmas sitting down to be able to care about much television apart from the obvious. And if I do, I have tentative plans to re-do Christmas my way the weekend of the 29th and 30th December so if there's anything on then, it had better be good. But you can tell it's coming when (as today) the shops start stocking advocaat.

Got to say the Christmas line up looks pretty dull!

Perhaps the television channels are starting to get wise to the fact that a lot of people are going to be getting DVDs at Christmas and will therefore be able to watch something they know they'll like rather than something bland and predictable.

I think there are special Christmas and Hogmanay episodes this year. Probably shown a few days later/on BBC Two in the rest of the UK.

Edited to add: Should really check my own links first:

Is it a new Hogmanay special though? Or is it the one from 2006?

There are two new episodes of Still Game:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pre...scotland.shtml

As if BBC1 Scotland would pass on an easy 1.5 million/60%+ audience share on Hogmanay.* I know they're crap at scheduling regional stuff, but they're not totally stupid!

River City is looking good this Christmas.

    * - even though a repeat would probably still top 1 million up here

BBC Press Office/Programme Info always use a 28 hour clock.

Might watch some of the, erm, 4 hours worth of Ken Dodd on Christmas Eve (a bizarre scheduling choice), and it's nice to see a Muppet movie on Boxing Day.

    I love the fact that BBC3 & BBC4 seem to transmit until 28 O'Clock every night!!!!!! It's so Sci-Fi!!!!!!
One Day, I shall come back, Yes, I shall come back,
Until them, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties, Just go forward in all your beliefs,
and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine!
