Voyage of the Damned trailer/clips ahoy!
Some brief 'Voyage of the Damned' clips (probably about 10-12 of them) have just been sighted in the first "ONE for Christmas" drama trailer thingy.

Yes, I saw that just before Robin Hood - didn't they look lovely?

I thought I'd get here to start this thread - I should have guessed that Milky Tears would get there before me (insert 'came first' gag here).
Exciting stuff though - I expect Si Hart will be particularly delighted with the spinning TARDIS clip!

To my (obviously confused) eyes, there are a couple of brief shots in this trailer of a girl in period dress who looks a lot like Billie Piper

I believe they're clips showing Ms. Piper as Sally Lockhart in Phillip Pullman's 'The Shadow In The North', the sequel to last year's 'The Ruby In The Smoke'.
Onbviously, though, Who, and anything with even the remotest link to the series, sells...

Oh I see... so all the bits that looked quite good and atmospheric inbetween all the explosions and crap looking monsters aren't actually Doctor Who. Should have guessed really

All the camp stuff is from 'Voyage of the Damned'.

At least every other BBC region has now seen the Titanic new (it's actually quite short) trailer. BBC1 Scotland is full of *****.

It's on both the advent calendar (behind today's door) and the official BBC youtube channel if you fancy a look.
Very nice it is too!

So it's not The Titanic, but a Titanic. I'm now expecting some sarcastic Doctor dialogue along the lines of "And you thought naming this ship the Titanic was a good idea, because...?"

I think it's a bit more than *named* after - the thing is clearly designed and modelled on the Titanic, presumably as some sort of gimmick by whatever holiday company / corporation owns it. I can well imagine cruise companies doing the same thing now, if they had the money to actually build such a ship.

Thanks, sonny. When you get to my great age it takes a while for things to sink in.

A 'ship' in space...? Now where have we seen that before...?

Did Douglas Adams write the Christmas special?
-

It seems highly improbable...

If it was Douglas, the spaceship would be invisible.

Who's to say it won't be. It would explain why the TARDIS didn't see it coming.

Sheer speculation, as I don't know anything about the plot, but there's nothing to say that Douglas Adams couldn't get an acknowledgment, a la Marc Platt, for instance.
