We have done about 60% of our christmas shopping so far as we spent a day a Lakeside last week. We were going to get my son a pair of Beats headphones for his ipod but where he is working now, he treated himself to a pair out of his first wage packet.

We have already bought the quality street and some booze too, so we are quite organized this year.
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

Amazingly I've already done a lot of my shopping for this year thanks to the last two visits to my workplace by the Book People.

Obviously I've got one less member of immediate family to buy for now so Christmas will probably be a bit more subdued than usual in my parents' house this year.

This morning I downloaded a new Christmas song from Hanson, made available as part of their new fanclub-only "Digital Pants Volume 1" album, a collection of odds and sods and blog songs from the past six years #moneyforoldrope

I've always liked this laid-back Christmas tune .... BUT...it has to be listened to whilst drinking sherry or mulled wine

I suppose I better write the cards tonight. Or I could put the tree up? Or maybe I better reassemble the table first? Decisions, decisions...

Table first, then tree, then use the table to write the cards whilst looking at the beautiful tree.

I'm putting my tree up tonight (it's only a table-top one) and making a start writing my Christmas cards, whilst listening to some jolly festive tunes. I may even have a sherry :-)

Right, that's the cards done, the tree is up, most of the presents are bought. Now I can relax and start enjoying it all!

    Well done, Si.

Dec's up, cards done, most of the presents are wrapped.

Just 1 or 2 last minute things to get & we're there.

The Lads are armed with bazookas and have all the addresses of potetial carol singers.

Is Carol Singer any relation to Dot Com or Sue Doku?
