    - To be less stressed
    - To work out more intensely/be more disciplined
    - Not to swear
    - Not to say anything negative about someone when they arn't there
    - To concentrate on what/who is most important

    In order of importance:

    1. Lose weight
    2. Get a new job
    3. Finish the house

    All three would be nice, but I plan to keep (at minimum) two of these resolutions.

    Hmm, I would have thought the priorities of 1 and 2 would be the other way round. Unless you're not too bothered about getting a new job really, or are wanting to get a job as a trapeze artist

    1) To lose weight.
    2) To do the online dating thing again now that I'm almost back to normal legwise.
    3) Find work - & thankfully it looks like I'm going to stage manage another play quite soon which should be quite cool.
    4) Do more unusual and fun things that I haven't so far done in my life. I'd love to travel abroad at least once this year for one thing, though that'll depend on how no.3 goes I guess.

    I would've put

    4. Stop being single
    but I'll leave that to chance.

    I'm not a great one for resolutions, as they're rarely kept to, but I had such a great time last night without drinking more than a couple of sips of champagne, that I think I'm going to limit my drinking a little more (not that i drink a great deal), if only to avoid the viscious hangovers I tend to get after a long drinking session these days.

    Oh and I AM going to learn to drive this year too. Eventually.

    Mrs Crow is resolved that we move this year!

    We're planning on up and moving areas sometime this year, before Cameron goes to big school. We have a couple of areas in mind, but we'll see. Ironically the last 12 months I've felt the most settled down I've ever felt. That said, sentiment aside, there are a lot of good reasons to try something new.

    So far, I've got two going...

    - At work, at the end of last year, we were asked to come up with new years resolutions to both help ourselves and help improving/redeveloping the business. Mine was to "improve my expanded role" - i.e. improve my skills beyond the general techy/web admin stuff, notably in Flash development, creative skills/Photoshop knowledge, and some of my more "businessy" skills such as my telephone and client-facing manner (at least to the point where the managers are happy to take/send me to client meetings).

    - At home, a rather simple one - break cleaning my teeth every day into my daily routine. I'm sure I've said before about trying to improve my poor dental hygiene, and whilst it had improved a little, I was brushing very infrequently and only mouthwashing every couple of days or so. Part of the problem is that things like that are very "routine-based" for me (i.e. if it's part of my routine I seem to do it semi-automatically, but if it isn't I easily forget about it), so if I spend at least all of January consciously remembering to brush them every night, hopefully it'll become second nature to do so.

    Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarlings,

    This year I am UTTERLY RESOLVED to make sure that I don't stop being totally gorgeous and wonderful, even for a second! Mwah!

    Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

    I tend to pick about ten goals that I want to achieve by the end of the year and see how I get on- this year I've achieved two, possibly three.

    I wasn't really thinking about it much this year, but the other day somebody in work suggested a weight-losing competition over the first three months of the year to raise funds (through an entry fee) for the local hospice, so I'm up for that.

    Ooo - sounds interesting, Ian.

    Looks like last year's resolution was kept with aplomb!

    In 2009 I am resolved to write a book.

    THEN MAKE PEOPLE READ IT! HAHAHAHAHAHASHAHHAHAHAH!!!!!!

    Well, I've already done a short workout with a pair of dumbbells I picked up in the sales yesterday, so there's a stereotypical resolution being put into practice.

    "Proper" resolutions are:
    - Improve my people skills (something I say all the time, not just new year...) and try to get to the root of why work has been pissing me off more than being enjoyable lately;
    - Try to build up some "sell-able skills" that could be used at work and help drag me out of the rut my current skills seem to have got me stuck in;
    - Learn to drive (more of a resolution my Mum made for me);
    - Read more, write more, and spend fewer days "dossing around" on the computer rather than doing something useful

    My 2009 resolution - to lose the weight that I failed to lose in 2008!

    Time for this ever-popular thread to be dug back up. Are the four of you that replied happy you kept your resolutions for this year?

    Well, I've done my one for 2009 in 2010, so I suppose that's something.

    Does Ant still need to lose weight? Will Alex get his leg fixed in 2011? Does Pip have a girlfriend (suppose we won't know the answer to that one)? I think everyone has learned to drive now though!

    Pretty much given up alcohol when I didn't even make it a resolution.
    My New Year's Resolution is to see Paul McCartney live.
    That'll do.
