Just been watching the video to Radiohead's 'Jigsaw Falling Into Place' - do you think they get together at each other's houses and say "Ok, guys, how can we be weird today?"

Is that the head cam one? I quite like it although it is a bit disconcerting.

I'm listening to some solo Freddie Mercury stuff just now...to be honest though, with one or two exceptions, it's not a patch on his Queen stuff.

I couldn't disagree more! I love Freddie's solo stuff, and I think it shows much diversity and invention. At a time when Queen were peddling lame disco songs (though "Hot Space" also deceptively has some great rock moments on) Freddie seemed to take the genre and add great production and tunes. "Living On My Own" is a great scat-a-bout, "Born To Love" you is breathlessly energetic and "Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow" would be up there with the greatest Queen ballads. Then there's the majestic "Time", the camp cover of the Platters "The Great Pretender" and the wonderful "In My Defence". All this and I haven't even mentioned the equisite "Barcelona" album which I love to death. "How Can I Go On?" is one of the most gloriously camp songs I own, and then there's the gorgeous "Guide Me Home" and the epic "The Golden Boy" with its great gospel choir - it's the best Queen hit there never was.

Oh yes, Solo Freddie is a mass of hidden gems.

    I have this CD:

And it's quite good. Living On My Own is a classic, some good cheesy synth work in there.

We've been rocking to "Eurovision: Congratulations" a money can't buy, sex can't buy, P-Bal compiled one time exclusive album of the UK's entrants from down years. Sadly it was compiled last May so there's no Andy Abraham. What a shame.

Goldfrapp again. Its a wonderful album.
And the Secret World of David Devant. Basically live tracks and oddities left over from the glory days of the band that no-one's every heard of.

Curiously, the other day I was listening to a track by Caravan called 'Golf Girl'.

I'm now listening 'Great DJ' by The Ting Tings - it's cool, catchy, and it's NOW...

... and the woman Ting Ting is a bit of alright.

I'm listening to 'Footprints In The Sand' by Leona Lewis, the official Sport Relief single, which is on BBC One right now - it may be for a good cause, but it's just awful, awful, awful!

Janet Damita Jo Jackson's new single "Rock With U".

A very pleasing trancey, dancey delight not unlike Mrs Ritchie's "Get Together" crossed with her brother's "Billie Jean".

"Never Say Never" by Dame Kim Wilde.

It's a little bit rocky, it's a little bit dancey. It's a lot wot Melanie C's next album could do worse than sound like.
