Some important things for you to know:
    1) The list of composers is shortlisted on the condition that each person must have contributed one full story's worth of incidental music. So as good as they were, Delia Derbyshire, Brian Hodgson, Dick Mills and Ron Grainer aren't there, as they were never credited with composing a full story's incidental music. Naturally, none of the stories featuring stock music are included either.
    2) Given the sheer weight of work they've produced, Dudley Simpson and Murray Gold aren't on the list. I know this might be contraversial with some, but let's face it, if Dudley or Murray were there, the result would be a foregone conclusion either way. So to spice it up, you'll have to vote for the best of the rest...

Usual rules apply, negative voting only begins February 1st.

I have to say that, just because he's done a lot of work, doesn't mean Murray Gold would last 5 seconds on that list

Admit it, Pip, you only left Dudders off because you didn't want to list all of his stories!

Seriously, it's a good move, and it gives the other composers more of a chance. Besides, we had a play-off/poll-type thingy with Simpson and Gold not so long ago, didn't we? Anyway...

No it's not. You have to trust the due process of the fully represented democratic vote. After all, The Daleks didn't win 'Last Monster Standing' did they?

But i'll play anyway. I suppose. (If only to rid of Keff the destroyer of ambiance)

I have to admit that, apart from Keff McCulloch and Tristram cary, I wouldn't know any of these from adam (their works that is). However, the only reason I know Keff McCulloch's music is because it was so grating and invasive, so...

no, only Keff and I might occasionally give positive votes to good old Tristram because Death to the Daleks and Revenge of the Cybermen were the first ever videos I bought and I have fond memories. Apart from that I'll keep my nose out.

Just so you give the right composer the votes, Death and Revenge were by Carey Blyton, not Tristram Cary.

Anyone who's heard my renditions of his 'Silurians' or 'Death To The Daleks' scores in Walthamstow high street of a late night will tell you that I appreciate a bit of Blyton.

It that what it was? It sounded more like Malcolm Clarke to me.
