it's not the end of the world.
It's just the end of our May!

Simon keeps going glum today and saying to me "I just remembered about Andy".

And we're only sort of casual Eurovision fans! You want to have seen some of P-Bal's obscene texts last night!!

I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

P-Bal shall not comment on the procedings. Except to ask why that evil turtle creature from the slime pits of hell even exists at all.

He hasn't had any previous songwriting experience at all, as far as I can see. How, and why, did he end up writing this years entry? Not being snidey, but it can't possibly be because it's any good - I'm sure songwriting is a great hobby for him, but I heard the song four times last night and I still can't remember how it goes.

I agree questions need to be asked. Who's on the panel that choose these entries??

Andy's song sounded to me as if it should be recorded by M-People.

Dame Carola has tumbled in Sweden, but hopefully Charlotte Perrelli or BWO will win through.

Meanwhile Russia have chosen to send twink Dima Bilan once more with a very good song, produced by Timbaland!

Dima is a bit dirty but probably the best we'll get in terms of totty. After the traditional Eurovish shots and tears he'll look great!

I really don't know why we bother to keep entering this untill the organisers do some thing to change the voting system and stop all the farcicle block voting of the Balkan and old Soviet union countries voting for each other we will never again finish in the top 10 let aloan win it.

Andy Abraham is the second song to be performed on the night and it is a fa(c)t controller that the second act to perform never wins so we're doomed for sure.

    Not that we weren't anyway...

Charlotte Perrelli comes on the wind for Sweden.

We will bow down before her and worship her key change and faux ending.

Her song is good. Dancey and anthemic and right up our streets. The anti-thesis of Anti-man Andy Abraham.

She's clearly regenerated from the Geri/Anastasia like peroxide harlot of yesteryear into the Kate O'Mara-o-like of today.

That's a bad draw for us. Andy's song isn't memorable enough for such an early slot.

I heard a few second of Andy's song for the first time since he got through the other night, and was startled to realise I can't bear to listen to a second of it. It's just too bad for words. Seriously. I like it less than Dustin the Turkey.

Expect me on the balcony when it comes on on the night.

There's an album on the wind as well.

It'll be a £2 in Woolworths within the year.

She looks like Kate O'Mara there.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, say it.

On a related note is Lady P going to be doing a Eurovish guide for The Vervoid this year?

P-Bal has yet to contact Dame Lissa, but it just wouldn't be Eurovish without it!
