Good luck guys. Hope you get them- it's a great set and an absolute steal at that price.
I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

It's a mistake!
We're sorry to inform you that we will not be able to fulfil your order for The Avengers: 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Box Set. An automated program mispriced this item so it appeared on the website at the incorrect price of £9.99.
When a mispricing takes place we will often honour the deal. However in this case the price difference is too large to make that feasible; £9.99 is a significantly lower than the price it costs us to obtain this item from the appropriate distributor. We have therefore cancelled your order. We apologise for your inconvenience and confirm that we have not charged your credit or debit card or, if you paid by PayPal that will be refunded asap.

I've also had an e-mail from PayPal confirming that my payment has been refunded.
Oh well, never mind. You know what they say about things looking too good to be true...and I suppose a 95% discount falls into this category...

I had no idea that the rules around a retailer honoring an offered sale price, especially when payment has been taken, were exempt when it cost them too much.
Si.

I would think they may be on shaky ground if they've actually taken payment - from long ago legal textbooks, when you buy something you actually make "an invitation to treat" which the supplier can decline or accept if they want. Network maybe have accepted by taking people's money?

Although I would agree with you, Andrew, it does depend on where a company is based. Even those websites that look to be based in the UK can in fact be based in another country. Therefore our laws won't apply.
