The young lad who played Tommy is going to be appearing at Collectormania Midlands, so a little bird tells me!

But, you may well ask, what did Randy the Weasel think?

But how did they know in the future? Was it to do with not being able to draw a straight line on a piece of crumpled paper?

They knew in the future because they opened the time-lock casket telling them. It's a paradox. If you hate paradox stories, fair enough, but as paradoxes go it was quite a good one.

The crumpled paper was nothing to do with the explanation, it was a demonstration of why chaos would ensue if history wasn't changed. The lines on the paper were meant to represent the timelines of the individuals involved, as I recall; if the paper (i.e time) was crumpled up, everyone would end up in a whole lotta shit.

I do normally like paradox stories, but something about this one just didn't quite fit for me. Oh well, Martha's back in a couple of weeks. I wonder which TW member will have the hots for her?

It's be great if she just wasn't their type.

That may actually be the case. Doctor Who characters in "Torchwood" arn't allowed to have sex are they?

I think that's the case. Unless your name is Captain Jack. Or Toshiko.

I quite enjoyed that episode, a few original ideas which was nice to see and made it feel somewhat fresher than a standard Torchwood episode (where to be fair you usually watch and think "hasn't this been done before").

Next weeks episode looks like it'll be quite poor. I'm reminded of the League of Gentlemen and "the special stuff", for very random reasons.

I liked this episode, especially cos' it really gave us more of Tosh who I really love as a character now.

Oh, and Tommy's hot...obviously. I can't help but squee at a guy who has a sweet twinge of a Northern accent

Yeah, but Tommy & Pip both have North West accents. I'm from the East Midlands.

Neat. I never knew Pip was a Northerner. Plus, is there really difference between Southern Scotland and Northern Scotland? I know that the more northwards ya go the more they tend to speak Gaelic and its difficult to understand. But personally, I think that I'm very good accents and understand everyone easily. (*cough* unlike most stereotypical Americans *cough*)

Then again, I have a bit of an edge since all I would really watch on t.v. when I was little was Python or Blackadder. Also, Ringo Starr was the conductor of Thomas the Tank Engine at that time too

Yep, Manchester, born and bred. Think Chris Eccleston but less polished.

I've just watched this episode for the first time (I'm slow but I get there in the end), and I was very surprised to hear the boy Tommy was born in Blackley, Manchester... (in best Sarah Jane voice) that's my home!

Shame the actor said Blackley wrong (it's Blake-ley, not Black-ley).

I thought it was very good, although "Adam" is excellent... I'll add more later.

I couldn't work out where the pyjamas came from - right at the end, Tosh is folding them up and putting them away. But surely Tommy should be wearing them?

But it was a good and enjoyable episode, and the brief glimpses of earlier Torchwood personnel were intriguing.
