The Monster Of Peladon.
(I think it's marvellous)

Well people seem to be nominating 'hated' stories that I think are OK.

The Creature from the Pit has long been one of my favourites. Nightmare of Eden too.
Wouldn't say I loved The Monster of Peladon but I do have some affection for it!"I remember because cherries send me into a wild fury!"

Nightmare of Eden is a big favourite of mine too. I also have a soft spot for Horns of Nimon, panto acting and all. Battlefield is, in my opinion, a strong story in a strong season, and I can't see why it's disliked so much as it is.

It's disliked because of two reasons:
(i) the Production values are AWFUL! The music would be rejected by "Wish You Were Here", the direction is crass and there are some awful set peices like the flying knight
(ii) the plot has a few quite dodgy holes in it, like the "left a note for myself" bit to blatantly get the Doctor where he needs to be at the end, and the infamous lorry that turns up to take all the characters away mid-way through episode 3.
I love it to bits for everything else.
Worst Doctor Who story ever.
Si.

I don't think 'Horns of Nimon' is quite as bad is made out. I prefer to 'Nightmare of Eden' anyway!
'Greatest Show' has never struck me as erm... great. But worst ever? Not quite that bad surely?
And i'll join the ranks of the 'Battlefield' supporters! I don't love it, but i defintely like it, & would buy the DVD. (Unlike 'Crapiness Patrol', for instance)

I'd nominate Battlefield for being one of the worst ever, whereas I rather like Greatest Show!

I would say The Gunfighters, The Celestial Toymaker and The Time Monster form the original series. Anything by Steven Moffat in the new series. I would include Father's Day too, but I seem to be the only in the "hate" camp for that one
Ironically I can take or leave Marmite.

Ditto Phil, it's the worst of that season and one of the worst of the McCoy era, infact.

I'll have to give it another go some time, I thought it was OK.

I'm shocked my Pip's hatred of "Show"! I have a few minor issues with it, such as the awful Episode 1 cliffhanger (the Doctor actually goads his companion into danger! WTF?!) but comedy value aside, it can't actually be worse than "Silly Nem", can it?

I can't really remember trying Marmite. I seem to think I had it at some school christmas party or something. It doesn't seem the sort of thing I'd like.

I wonder if Paul Clement would fancy borrowing the 69 minutes of Greatest Show studio footage in my collection
