    BTW, I don't recall the thread being about the perceived quality of the show, but of its popularity, i.e. that it's no longer a minority interest show. Even if you don't care for it in its present incarnation, you surely can't deny that.

    In fairness the success of the show surprises me - it might be partly a reflection on the general crap which is on these days such as BB or it could be it's simply not my thing and I'm out of touch with populist opinion

    When you were young I'm sure there were 30/40 something year olds that thought similar things about your precious Pertwee era. You, like them, are just out of touch with what makes good TV.

    Eh, I don't find it pestering being called a nerd since I'm never called one lol. Most of my friends dunno about Who, but they do know I'm into sci-fi, but they don't find me weird cos' I'm into it. The only person who makes fun of me is my brother- and he's just calling the kettle black there

    I'm pissed, my B&N rarely has the Who mag anymore. I kept checking so I could get the Davison/Tennant cover one- NOTHING. But just recently they had the VOTD one- IN PLASTIC! I was too ersed to rip it though.
