And I don't care what anyone thinks either! - Pertwee to Baker was the best and most touching regeneration I ever saw and in my view has never been surpassed!

And I don't care what anyone thinks either! I think the best regeneration the original one. The morphing was superb for its time & is still good today. As we saw with the McCoy/McGann regen, effects aren't everything.

isn't so great! you've got a fairy wrapped in toilet paper merging with a very relaxed looking Tom Baker who's supposedly just fallen from 387 stories lying on the floor! ( I know he didn't like it that way) but it's really not the best regeneration of these 3. I think Hartnell n Troughton's deserve more credit. Even Troughton to Pertwee

I agree with all these things.
Personal nostalgia makes Pertwee to Baker my fave, but that aside, Ralph is still absolutely correct about it being the most touching regen.
But i agree with Tim re the first one. It's truly iconic. It's a piece of tv history that still looks good. But the one that won is the most eye candytastically watcable, even though it's not really to do with the regen itself.

*I think Eccleston's 'Have a fantastic life' which was a nice moment, but otherwise you could've cited this one, or even the Baker/Davison one, as well as the McCoy/McGann one. *
