Anti-Smoker Allen Carr dies... of lung cancer

Some of you might remember Dave Taylor sharing the virtues of a miracle book on giving up smoking a while back... I think I'm right in remembering it was by Allen Carr.

He's a famous anti-smoker who has died, aged 72, of Lung Cancer. He's helped millions of people to quit smoking.

It's not as ironic as it sounds though. He still smoked heavily til his 50's, so it's thought that these years smoking, as well as possibly hours spent in smoky treatment rooms helping people kick the habit, may have caused the cancer. In fact, 72 is a fair age to live to and promotes well the benefits of giving up smoking, as he did.
