    Default BBC Official Site redesign

It's looking new and spangly today!

But what do you think of it?

    Si xx

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

I've just had a quick gander, and on first impressions I think it'll be easier to navigate the site. But I must admit that I preferred the old look, to tell the truth. No doubt it'll grow on me, though...

The media plays on my office PC, so that's a bonus. I don't like what I saw of partners in Crime though.
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

    Mr Staypuff springs to mind.

looks ok though I think it's about time they changed the picture of Christoper Ecleston on the main site link.

Well this makes more sense. I knew I recognised the word adipose from somewhere.

    From OED.com
    A. adj. Of or pertaining to adeps, or animal fat; fatty. adipose fin: a small, rayless, fleshy dorsal fin present in certain fishes, notably those of the salmon family. adipose tissue: the vesicular structure in the animal body, which contains the fat.
    B. n. [sc. substance.] The animal fat; the oil or fat which fills the vesicles of the adipose tissue; which in life is semifluid, but at death becomes solid, and is known as suet or tallow.

I'm very disappointed to see the Classic Series area hidden away in 'Archive'.

It does look rather nice, and yes, the old one was starting to look a little dated.

It's just a bit annoying that, like most sites these days, it's been designed for larger monitors, meaning that those old fogeys of us who still have 800x600 monitors have to keep scrolling from side-to-side, grumble grumble...

    Yes, I quite agree.
I do think the website should focus on the New Series as that is what most of the current audiance will want to see, but I do wish that links to the original series were just that bit more obvious.
Other than that, I do quite like the new look of the site.

The hi-res widescreen wallpapers are most welcome - and very useful for graphic design!

    I liked Captain Jack's Monster Files - it's a winner

The new site looks fab. I love the iPlayer style videos and most of all the widescreen wallpapers!

Widescreen wallpapers are a good thing, at least for those who have a widescreen monitor. It seems strange that they haven't had them before, seeing as virtually all new monitors on the market are widescreen LCDs.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I've failed to get to grips with it - I much preferred the old site and feel it was a lot easier to navigate around.

However, the videos seem to run a lot better than previously.
