Not sure if this has been posted anywhere, but there's a nice feature up on the BBC site here.......

In addition, Dick and I should be appearing on BBC Breakfast time tomorrow morning, at about 9:45am (in other words, any time between 9.30-10.00am, as long as a more important story does not break.

Surely it's more of an anniversary than a birthday, what with it being dead and all

I'm glad you said that, because that's just what I was thinking! It's all very well the BBC website, and Breakfast time, etc celebrating 50 years of the Radiophonic Workshop; but if they were that proud of it, why close the bloomin' thing down!!?

Is it really necessary anymore though? Most of the work from the past could easily be done on a desktop PC nowadays, and even if it was reopened, it wouldn't have to be in a single location, people could easily work in different locations. Its day is over, technology has made it so.

Mick Dills and Aark Mayres were on the BBC News 24 this morning. Dick had a funky synth and Mark had Delia's Green Lampshade. It was fun
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I taped it, but it was barely worth it if you'd seen the clip on the website.
