Default The Runaway Bride (no spoilers)

They must be due to start showing teasers for The Runaway Bride soon!?

It was this time last year we first saw the Spinning Christmas Tree teaser, wasn't it?

Will it be before/after EastEnders or Robin Hood? Or will it be next week?

There's a 4 minute clip of The Runaway Bride on Youtube. Looks cool.

Just to make it clear, there will be no spoilers allowed in this thread whatsoever.

There's the other thread for that.

    Hehe.

Well, it's just the same rules as last Christmas - anything the BBC show on TV or their website etc isn't counted as a spoiler here.

I just saw the new 'One For Xmas' trailer after 'Strictly Come Dancing', and it featured quite a few clips from 'The Runaway Bride' - not as exciting as Louisa Lytton, though.

Evil Santas, the TARDIS crash-landing - it's all been done before.

saw that same trailer just before Robin Hood, and the clips from Runaway Bride looked fantastic.

The TARDIS looks too wide in that motorway shot. MY CHRISTMAS HAS BEEN DESTROYED!!

There's some good stuff in that trailer. Great music as well.

BBC1 Scotland have finally repeated the 60 second trailer. I think that's only its second primetime appearance up here. It's much better than that shorter effort with the dodgy edit.

Shame they're now showing the The Green Green Grass, though.

Great "story" about BBC1's Christmas trailer in yesterday's Sun:

    http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2...570246,00.html

    Beelzebeeb song church fury
    December 11, 2006

BBC bosses are ditching a Christmas TV trailer after church leaders complained its music was pro-SATANIC.

Auntie is using Christmas With The Devil a spoof track by mock rockers Spinal Tap in a 30-second clip focusing on villains and baddies in its festive dramas.

The tongue-in-cheek lyrics include: The elves are dressed in leather and the angels are in chains and Theres someone up the chimney hole and Satan is his name.

But Canon Peter Howell-Jones, of Birmingham Cathedral, said: Its in very bad taste. Ive enough to do without having to defend God from things like this. Retired Rev Betty Stephenson added: Its disgusting, diabolical.

She said the Devil also called Beelzebub always works quietly in the background and mentioning him demeaned the true meaning of Christmas.

The BBC said it chose the song in honour of baddies including the Sheriff of Nottingham and the Evil Santas in Doctor Who. A spokesman said: Its meant to be fun.

The song, released after 1984 rockumentary This Is Spinal Tap, will be ditched tomorrow, the BBC said. The film followed a fictitious band, fronted by Nigel Tufnel, on a disastrous US tour.

It will be replaced by the even more satanic Ebenezer Wallis telling everyone what they can do with their christmases.

“It’s in very bad taste. I’ve enough to do without having to defend God from things like this.”
This gave me the impression that God continually got on the vicars nerves for using up all his time. My day is busy enough without God keeping on getting in the way!
