It's fine except absolutely nothing happens! I remember the first time I watched it, I decided to go outside instead.

I've always wanted to see Mandragora. I think a lot of the others I was put off of because they were slated when released on video and I probably spent my cash on cd's or going down the pub etc.

Poor old Paul. Fancy making him suffer 'Mandragora'. I thought you were friends!

Well I was made to sit through Zygon and Timelash at the last recording so I think I could cope with Mandragora

Mandragora is great! It's got Pat Gorman turning blue, Sarah munching an orange, the gayest onscreen couple until the Cassini Sisters, the Doctor requesting a last toffee apple at his execution, great costumes, Portmerion, some very good dialogue...
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Only a plot is missing!
I still can't believe the joys of Marinus that Paul has to come - the paper Voord! Spanked bottoms! The horrid rapist bloke! The most incongrous use of stock footage in TV History! Men wearing short skirts in the Arctic (and much leg rubbing)! And my favourite all time Hartnell line - "No, not at this temperature! Besides, it's too warm!"

Marinus too has a plot, it's just fairly predictable from about 5 minutes after they set up each new location. My favourite bit is at the beginning, where they're wandering around for ages on a beach that is completely dominated by Arbitan's fortress - and suddenly Ian slaps the Doctor on the arm and shouts "Look at that fantastic building!"Pity. It may have a bit of a plot, but it's so thin that it still feels like nothing whatsoever happens.

I'm resigned to the fact that I'm one of the few who Masque. It's a gorgeous, clever and intelligent story, unlike much around it!

Given that I love season 18 and so does Mr Hart, there's a fairly good chance that our tastes are quite similar Who-wise, so I reckon I'll like Masque. Even if its rubbish I can still have fun trying to fit it into Prisoner continuity!
Plus its the first appearance of the secondary control room!
Marinus sounds like a sci-fi epic done on a budget of 10p so HAS to be amusing.

The first 5 minutes of "Masque" are great, with the TARDIS boot cupboard, the Domain of Mandragora and a lovely pan and materilisation in the sunny forests.
"How big is it?"
"How big are you?"
"Five foot four and a half and you STILL haven't answered the question!"

I'll Yartek Leader of the Alien Voord YOU in a minute!
*NB - the last story I had to see was Delta and the Bannermen, or at least parts 2&3 of Delta. I'd seen episode 1 in 1988 and watched every episode of every other Doctor Who story (including listening to audio only stories!) for the first time before finishing it off nearly 20 years later.Pity.
