How good are you with words and their meanings?

Now you can test your vocabularly and help to feed the world by playing Free Rice For every word you correctly define, 20 grains of rice are donated to the cause on your behalf, courtesy of some generous sponsers. I know it's not a great deal, but for giving 5 minutes of your time to play a game, it's not bad is it?

Currently my Vocab level is 38 and I've donated 3000 grains! How well can you do?

I've just had a go & I've donated 3140 (I was going to stop @3000 but forgot & did more than intended ) with a score of VOCAB LEVEL: 41 & YOUR BEST LEVEL: 41.

I must admit to guessing a couple as the meaning was just as incomprehensible as the word itself.

Do you have to do anything to 'submit' it, or do you just stop? I've got it open in another window at the moment!

Its very addictive isn't it, and all for a good cause. I've reached 7300 grains and my best vocal level was 49.

I think they should say 'is matched to' rather than 'means' though, although for lots of biology and medical terms.

If you click on their totals, you can see a monthly total which I assume they weigh out rather than count

The bad news is they limit you to 10,000 grains per attempt.
The good news is I now have a vocabulary wide enough to write a Pip'n'Jane style DW story

At 4000 I am at level 41 with a high of 42.

I have a new best of 45. This is pretty fun. Close to 10,000 today too.
