I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

She's not daft, a few more and she'll have a different sci-fi convention for every week of her retirement! Get yourself in the background of the new Star Trek film, love!

Oh my God the acting travesty!

At least it means she won't be in future Who.

Good for Freema I say.Since Jenny is supposed to be the most likeable character in the show, she should do well.

Freema's in some new Dickens thing too. It's nice she's got work. Oh I am pleased Miss Babs.

She seems to be doing very well at the mo, and she thoroughly deserves it.

Interesting read, that. They seem to have truncated the storyline down (not that that wasn't expected) as the series is only 6 episodes long. It'll be interesting to see where they stop the series & how it compares to the original. I hope they don't over use incidental music because the lack of that was what makes the original series work for me.

I wouldn't bank on it, Tim.

I couldn't agree more Tim - it really does work well in the original completing the bleak atmosphere. As I really enjoyed rewatching the original it might be a tough act to follow for those of us who appreciated that style.

I believe the series is based on Terry Nation's novelisation rather than the original series for legal reasons, so they don't have the rights to use any storylines by other writers.
Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?

If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...

I predict that this will be exactly like 'Lost', only set in Surrey. It could be unbelievably brilliant, but I fear it's more likely that it will be awful!
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I meant on the website. She should have a shower scene in the first episode.

I don't know why, but I'm looking forward to this. Other than the outstadning first episode I wasn't a huge fan of the original series, but there's a great deal of potential in the premise. I hope they capitalise on it and that it's good. I suppose we'll find out on Sunday evening...

There's a big feature on Survivors in the latest issue of DeathRay magazine, which itself has come back from the dead with a bumper edition. Hurrah!

I watched season 3 Doctor Who Shakespeare Code last night and was surprised how much I enjoyed Freemas acting in that. So maybe this is worth a glance ...

I'm actually really looking forward to this series - the cast looks pretty watchable and the premise is good. Mind you, I really could have said that about Bonekickers...
