I seem to recall she had thick black hair and had a wacky fashion sense!

You're not wrong Dave- here she is on the boat (on the left!)

Mr Booth has just made his return as the motel chef unfortunately he's about as interesting as a plank of wood which is unfortunate as he is at the centre of many storylines

Elsewhere on the farm things bubble along nicely as a plot to depose Ed Lawton(thus bringing Doris and Benny to the motel) offers plenty of intrigue

David Hunter's car has been stolen! He seems almost perturbed about it... but his acting is so laid back it's difficult to tell!

I love the fact that everyone thinks Meg has been burnt to death, and instead she's on the QEII!

It was a great ending for her... though it was possibly a bit of backtracking when they realised they probably shouldn't kill her off. Watching the show in order, I can see why they had to get rid of her- there was no way it would change with her still there ruling the roost, but they did it in such a sneaky, underhanded way that makes it painful and horrible.

    Why sneaky and underhanded?

I read that they were going to bring her back and she got her revenge and died on them!

I think, behind the scenes there were all sorts of machinations. She was high up on the board of ATV and they gradually eroded the power she wielded and made her position untennable.

If she'd come back full time in 1985, we'd never have had Nicola Freeman.

Good old Crossroads!! I sometimes forget that, in its time, it was HUGE - Meg leaving was such a memorable event, and her very brief return a couple of years later was another big event, I can remember us all down at Gran & Grandpa's sitting round waiting for her to appear.

Although she was very upset at being, well, sacked, didn't Noele Gordon later say that in hindsight it was the best thing that could have happened to her, careerwise?

Wow what a brilliant clip! Loved the way the Harty credits mimicked the style of Crossroads!

Mr Booth is back! With a wife, well, well, well... Shughie McPhee isn't happy- but then Shughie isn't ever happy. So it's all go in the kitchens right now and obviously, after a long break they've put up the kitchen set again and all the drama is happening there.

Meanwhile Diane's brother, Terry, has turned up and is causing havoc, Jane is back from her trip to Manchester (so they didn't write her out by letting her run for a taxi after all) and there's a mad woman in chalet 14, Mrs Bailey who's going to be causing trouble for Dr Butterworth it seems...

It's all go at the Crossroads Motel.

Dave, if you really want to see some Crossroads I'll lend you the DVDs. After this run it'll be a long time before I get round to watching it again!
