Jennifer Lamont is a fabulous character. I really grew to love her. She was played excellently by Jean Kent.
I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

I agree Si - a very dignified lady who puts up with a lot of undignified behaviour around her!

Mavis has dolled herself up, and Sid didn't even notice - he's more concerned with his gambling debts. Men! Reg is still trying to schmooze Sharon, but she's still saying no (although she's now said they could be "great friends".....)

Adam has proposed to Jill. Whatever will she say? Call me cynical, but I reckon he's done this for business reasons!

I really dislike Sid Hooper. Especially when he's being mean about Mavis:-
"She's always been as plain as a brick wall. She was a born with a mind in whalebone corsets". How charming!

Jennifer Lamont in blistering form this morning as she lambasts both Reggie and Sharon for not telling her what's going at the garage

Very sad ep as Mavis said a tearful farewell to Iris. The Wings theme had me reaching for my hanky :-(

I can't believe how complicit Ma & Pa Brownlow are in keeping Glenda in the dark about Carole Sands!

What a cracking episode this morning! The board meeting from hell, as Mr Malik is informed by an ever-so-stern David that another person has made them a share offer they can't refuse. J Henry Pollard no less! "I've got a nasty taste in my mouth" says Adam. Quite!
Doris has a mystery male visitor (hmmm wonder who that can be), and Jennifer Lamont has a nasty surprise in the form of the menacing Eddie Lee. Terrific!

Well well - the mysterious male visitor was Doris' boyfriend from the pre-war days who she thought was killed in said war. Isn't life strange?
No Crossroads for me tmw morning - I think something else will be occupying my breakfast viewing.....

Well that's a sight for sore eyes first thing in the morning - Eddie Lee in his underpants :-/ Looks like Reggie has double-double crossed him. I think that's the last we'll see of the luxurious Lamont sitting room as they do a moonlight flit. More upsetting than that - is that the last time we'll see the fabulous Jennifer Lamont??

Oh no, lovely Sharon is in trouble - Eddie Lee has put 2 and 2 together and has guessed who warned Reggie. Run for your life Sharon!

Back to the motel! Paul Ross has got the job as Head Waiter - and Jill Darling seems to be quite taken with him. Watch out Adam! Lovely scene between Sharon & Eddie Lee he tries to figure out why Sharon dobbed him in. Thankfully it all ended without any violence, although it was touch and go!

Valerie's entrance is one of my all time favourite motel moments!

Paul O'Grady is doing a Crossroads special on Radio 2 on Sunday evening 7pm. He's got Jill, Adam, Diane and Benny in the studio with him. Should be a good listen for anyone who's a bit of a motel fan!

Hoorah I'm back at the motel. Benny is back - yay! But so is Sid Hooper. Boo! Valerie Pollard is working behind the bar, and is as gloriously camp as ever. Poor Doris is having second thoughts about marriage. All that, and the Wings theme
